With small "Finesse" swimbaits becoming more popular, people are starting to throw them more often. Downsizing a swimbait has always been something you can do without having to have a "Swimbait Specific" set up. From the finesse gill being only 4.5", to the shat (which is only slightly bigger) being 5", both of these baits weigh approximately an ounce. Since these are treble hook baits, that would require a parabolic rod to help prevent ripping the hooks out when you are hooked into the fish of a life time. Combining something like that with the ability to throw a bait that is an ounce, is what finally brought about "The Plunger".
